Botox And Emotions

This PD site looks after your multi-faceted well-being.  We’re all aware that our emotions really control what we do.

There is nothing that we do that doesn’t have an emotional content, mild or powerful, happy or sad and everything in between.

The following material is from an email I received from the Hypnosis Network.  It’s not just for the ladies as men use Botox too.

Your Best Friend Or Your Worst Enemy

I recently came across what I’m about to share with you.  I found it absolutely fantastic, so, so true.

I hope you will enjoy it as I did.

Follow Us, Fire Up!

Another tidy-up has produced these notes I took at a seminar, or from a CD, or…..

All I know is that I have at the top of the page “Follow Us”.

Now, that’s not a bad heading, is it?  So, using the analogy that we are following each other to some extent, “Follow Us” it is, BUT we also need to FIRE UP, that is, DO SOMETHING.

I must say, I have got a lot better at identifying where I am when I take notes, what the name of the course is, or what CD/DVD I am taking notes from.

As you can see, this was not always the case

  1. 1.    The first note is a quote from Dr Edwin Louis Cole: “How well we leave a crisis will determine how well we cope with the next one: to move in, we first need to move out.”

Lack Of Self-Control: No, It’s Not You

I received this article from Michael Lovitch of the Hypnosis Network and thought it was very pertinent to share it with you.

Many people make New Year’s resolutions and ‘beat themselves up’ when they don’t succeed, or get ridiculed by others who say: “Yeah, yeah, like you tried last year….”

Will Power is not a “Character” Issue

Most of us assume that a lack of will power is a personality defect, and that if we had a better constitution we would meet our resolutions (stop overeating, stop drinking too much, quit smoking, get more done, create and follow a budget, etc…)

But the research is now clear that our brains simply aren’t designed for willpower – because willpower is a limited resource.

How Did I Get This Way? – Part 4

MasterDestiny4Life_Values SourcesHello, again, this is the last in this series of discovering how it is you have the hierarchy of values you are living by.
Just to refresh:

Part 1 – The home environments you grew up in, and the friendships that have influenced you

Part 2 – The state of your finances and your work life and your attitude towards your health and fitness

Part 3 – The spiritual emphasis you live by, how education influences you life, and how geography has had an impact on who you are

How Did I Get This Way? – Part 3

So far we’ve looked at these environmental influences in your past that have made an impact on your hierarchy of values, including:

1. The home environments you grew up in

2. The friendships that have influenced you

3. The state of your finances and your work life

4. Your attitude towards your health and fitness

Values are what is important to you and are visible in the actions you take, the beliefs you hold and your attitude towards people and things.

Let’s now look at three more of the nine, Spirituality, Education and Geography. Read more »

How Did I Get this Way – Part 2

How did you go with last week’s questions? Did they answer some of what you’d been wondering for some time?

In case you missed the posting on The Home, you can access it by going to this link: How Did I Get This Way? – Part 1.

Let’s continue with more of the environmental influences you have had in your past and, which to varying degrees continue to follow you.

2. FRIENDSHIPS

You’ve surely heard the saying, “You can tell the kind of person someone is by the friends they keep”, or “If you want to be a millionaire, mix with them”.

Are Your Limiting Beliefs Hindering You?

How Did I Get This Way? – Part 1

MasterDestiny4Life_Values SourcesOne of the most important skills you can have is to recognise your strengths as well as acknowledging the areas you need to address in order to realise your potential.

To understand why you are who you are, you need to look at the Values by which you are conducting your life.

Each of us has our own individual Values System, which is hierarchically structured, based on the choices we have made or the conditioning we’ve taken onboard from external environments.

In order to be proactive, and utilise your human potential to its maximum, it’s useful to be aware of the nine (9) major groups which have influenced you in the past, and which continue to influence you in varying degrees.

Why Change In Your Personal Life?

Millions of years ago, our primitive ancestors, the Stone Age people, decided to improve the way they lived.

Fortunately, human beings are adventurous and cannot help themselves in discovering new ways of doing things and taking risks.

Stone Age man discovered how to make fire, how to write on walls using symbols, how to make houses, boats and how to cook food, how to tame animals, how to breed different seeds.

They experimented and discovered what foods were edible and which were poisonous.

From these crude nomadic conditions, they started to settle and farm, produce food, and tame animals.

Look with what rapidity Modern Man’s inventions have accelerated in the last 100 years, no, even in the last 50 years!

Can you think how our world would be had our ancestors not changed and learnt to make their lives better by taking risks and discovering new things?
